The Owners wanted a commercial architect to help fill in a vital component of the Holland Park development in Greenville. Flying Rabbit Adventures is an aerial adventure and zipline course which winds through the trees above the park.
The project’s two main components – the check-in building and the observation deck – occupy two very unique settings within Holland Park. The deck is set into the steep hillside leading down to the bicycle pump track and the aerial course. The office building occupies a very narrow tract next to the main parking lot. It contains common restrooms, a merchandise / check-in desk, and a small food stand, inhabited by GreekTown Grill Express.
Parking lots, property lines, setbacks, grade, and utilities squeezed the site for the observation deck on all sides. Similarly, parking and a cell tower constrained the site of the check-in building. LMG Architects found a way to meet all the functional demands of each structure and to compliment the overall look of the development.
Commercial projects can sometimes test the mettle of any architect, but LMG has helped Holland Park to become a Greenville destination.
