The Owner turned to LMG to reinvent the former Tommy’s Ham House restaurant on the north side of downtown Greenville. Lewis Barbecue wanted a central location that offered more indoor and outdoor seating than their Charleston location.
Creating a memorable dining experience poses a challenge for a restaurant architect, especially in a city with as many options as Greenville. Guests who remember the old Tommy’s building barely recognize it now. LMG Architects kept the existing structure, but completely re-imagined the main dining rooms. They also created an expansive bar area and a state-of-the-art kitchen.
LMG collaborated with Lewis to shape the customer experience – from waiting and ordering to the moment they take their seats. In the new smokehouse, six custom smokers produce Lewis’ world-famous brisket daily.
B. Berry Interiors of Charleston designed the retro Texas Roadhouse interiors.
